WORLD WAR Z

Humanity is threatened as an infectious virus spreads across the globe transforming people into zombies. Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) is a U.N worker who, after an incredible escape sequence, manages to save his wife (Mireille Enos) and daughters. He then travels the world, racing against time, trying desperately to find a cure as the virus spirals out of control.

This isn’t an original concept but is far superior to other films in the genre. An absence of blood/gore and flesh-eating effectively adds to the fear factor. Great performances from a high-calibre cast, stunning cinematography and an intriguing well-written script devoid of any silliness, translates into an unnerving film.

World War Z is an incredible action-packed thriller. (MM)
