LES MISERABLES

After a two-year break from Sydney stages, Les Miserables is back with a bang.

David Tucker is the director of the much-celebrated musical, and although he admits his bias, he says his debut will probably be, “the best show you’ll see … this year.”

Though technically the cast members are ‘amateurs’, Tucker says they act far from it.

“We all do it for the love of it, and that’s a big difference… the passion is there.”

The scores have also received an update, and the Riverside Lyric Ensemble is the first to showcase them in the new production.

What else to get happy about? “Brilliant music, a brilliant cast and a great story.”
