Sorry Thorpie, your eponymous aquatic centre in Ultimo is nice’n’all, but our readers think the Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre in Enmore is better! It may not have the architectural bells and whistles (though it’s a nice enough building) but what this Inner West gem does offer is a state-of-the-art heated 50-metre pool, an attitude-free gym/fitness centre, a comprehensive range of classes for both water babies and land lubbers (aqua aerobics, yoga, boot camp, Zumba, etc), super-friendly staff and reasonable prices.
