Best Pub off the Beaten Track: Different Drummer
This pub was a little hard to find, it being a fair walk down Glebe Point Road and having a deceiving entrance. But once you recognise the red light shining from inside, the hunt for this little gem is well worth the effort. The interior of the indie haunt is artistic and dimly lit, perfect for a romantic rendezvous with tapas and cocktails. The Chocolate Negroni is particularly delicious – a twist on the classic Campari with a hint of fee bros chocolate bitters. What’s more, the bar is licensed until 2am so there is no fear of being displaced post-midnight like so many other pubs in the harbour area.
