MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981)
Nothing says, “I love you” like a blood dripping heart in a heart shaped box. Or as a generic movie trailer voice more prophetically says, “Nothing says date movie like a ride to hell.” Either or, you get the idea. This Valentine’s day, skip the silly roses and chocolates (ok sorry like who really does that anymore unless it comes with a complete cruise package and a knitting set) and bring your date to Mu-Meson’s slasher flick. The plot – masked mad person (to be non-sexist) stabs local teenagers (most probably in this order – slut, slut #2, black best friend and jock boyfriend) in a small town called Valentine Bluffs. This is the original Canadian version from 1981 so funky fashion and totes cool hairstyles are included. (KS)
