Spring into spring with Springboards

Springboards Performing Arts in Annandale is currently inviting auditions for the spring semester of ‘Springboards’, a two-day-a-week intensive theatre and music theatre training course, commencing in mid-July and running for 20 weeks.

Co-ordinated by Pat Wilson and Adrian Barnes, the course offers classes in acting, singing, spoken voice, Alexander Technique, body awareness and dancing, with a focus on building skills and preparing individuals for entry into established theatre and music theatre courses both nationally and internationally. But it’s not all professionally-minded – the course also caters for those looking to maintain skills and keep in shape for professional auditions. Students must be aged 18 or over; class size is limited to 12.

Showcase performances by current participants of Springboards Autumn Term will be held at the Newtown Theatre (corner of King Street and Bray Street, Newtown) on Friday, July 2 and Sunday, July 4, with both performances kicking off at 2pm.
