PRIDE AND GLORY

Edward Norton stars as Ray Tierney- a NYPD detective called by his father and chieftain, Francis (Jon Voight) to investigate a drug raid gone wrong that resulted in the deaths of four of their fellow officers. In the process, Ray discovers that his elder brother, Frannie (Noah Emmerich) and brother-in-law, Jimmy Egan (Colin Farrell) are embroiled in an intricate web of corruption and lies. Pride and Glory is a suspenseful police drama and action flick shot against a bleak New York backdrop containing a plot with many tangents, as if throwing you off the scent of reality. It boasts two really shocking scenes that culminate with Ray having to decide between upholding familial honour or unveiling the damning truth. (Natalie Salvo)
