$1M council grant for the MCA

The City of Sydney has offered the Museum of Contemporary Art $1 million dollars to go towards its redevelopment.

?We want to enhance Sydney?s reputation as a centre for culture and art, while at the same time addressing the issue of equal access,” said City of Sydney CEO Monica Barone.

MCA director Elizabeth Ann Macgregor welcomed the funding commitment. ?This significant contribution from City of Sydney brings us closer to the realisation of this important project, helping Sydney maintain its status as a culturally vibrant city,? she said.
