Light rail upgrade for Jubilee Park Station

The upgraded Jubilee Park Light Rail Station in Glebe has been opened at a cost of $850,000.
The work included a new pathway and ramp access for the elderly, people with a disability and parents with prams at the northern and western sides of the station.
New lighting will provide better safety and security for passengers and residents and improvements have been made to disabled parking on the western side of the canal as well as the shared access way along the canal.
Funding for the Federal Government project was also assisted by the City of Sydney Council, which contributed $200,000 towards the cost.
Work began at Jubilee Park in October 2007.
NSW Minister for Climate Change and the Environment and Member for Balmain, Verity Firth, said the project should further encourage inner west residents to use the light rail network.
