Labor confirms team for council elections

Less than two weeks after she replaced Tony Pooley as Labor’s candidate for Lord Mayor, Meredith Burgmann has announced the team she will lead at the City of Sydney Council elections.
Rank and file Labor members last Saturday chose five people to represent the party and chase a position as councillor.
The candidates include Surry Hills resident and pyschologist, Linda Scott; editor of the South Sydney Herald Trevor Davies of Darlington; Darlinghurst art gallery curator Jo Holder; Belinda Comninos of Zetland; and president of the 2011 Resident’s Association in Kings Cross, Sacha Blumen.
The elections will be held on Saturday September 13.
