Digital revolution hits local schools

Six local secondary schools will receive funding for new computers as part of Federal Government?s $1.2 billion Digital Education Revolution.
The funding is from Round One of the National Secondary School Computer Fund. The successful schools include St Mary?s Cathedral College, Alexandria Park Community School, Conservatorium High School, Newtown High School of Performing Arts, Sydney Secondary College Balmain Campus, and Sydney Secondary College Blackwattle Campus.
Sydney MP Tanya Plibersek said grants of $1000 per computer have been provided. Funding is being delivered through State and Territory Governments or non-government school block grant authorities.
