Chocolate Indulgence

From now until Mother’s Day, chocoholics should pop in to The Grace Hotel to indulge in a menu of chocolate treats from Australia’s oldest family-run chocolate maker, Haigh’s. They’ve been making fine chocolates since 1915, and if you purchase an item from the Chocolate Indulgence Menu served in the Grace Café, you’ll also receive a voucher giving you a 10% discount from the Haigh’s store in the nearby Strand Arcade.

Weary shoppers may find the perfect way to recharge in a steaming mug of Haigh’s Hot Chocolate ($6.50), perhaps with a slice of Chocolate Cheesecake ($14) on the side’ It’s so rich and substantial that I suggest you share. You can also enjoy a two-fork tango in their signature Chocolate Fondue ($18), served with marshmallows, cubes of cake and seasonal fruits (in my case lovely strawberries and less successful rockmelon).
